1. What We Collect
When you use SolarPulse we may collect: your name, email address, phone number, and home address (when you request a full report or installer connection); your energy bill amount (entered by you); roof analysis data derived from satellite imagery of your property address; and standard web analytics data such as browser type, pages visited, and approximate location.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to generate your solar estimate; to connect you with licensed solar installers in your area (if you opt in); to improve the accuracy of our models; and to send you relevant updates about your report (you can opt out at any time).
3. How We Share Your Information
When you request to be connected with a solar installer, we share your name, address, phone number, and energy usage with a licensed installer in your area. This is the core of our service — you are explicitly consenting to that contact when you unlock your report. We do not sell or share your information with advertisers, data brokers, or any other third party outside of that installer connection. We may share data with service providers who help us operate the Site (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics) under strict confidentiality agreements.
4. Data Security
All data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2 or higher. Stored data is encrypted at rest. We apply industry-standard access controls and conduct periodic security reviews. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personally identifiable information for up to 3 years from the date of collection, unless you request earlier deletion or we are required to retain it for legal purposes. Anonymized, aggregated data may be retained indefinitely for model improvement.
6. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to: access a copy of your personal data; correct inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; opt out of having your data shared with installers; and withdraw consent at any time. 7. California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete your personal information, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information (we do not share your data outside of the installer connection you request), and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights. 9. Children's Privacy
